Eyelash extensions are a popular service that extends each individual eyelash by either a single or multiple lashes per natural eyelash. It is a highly specialized skill that takes time, repeated practice, proper knowledge, and training. The instructor, Kimberly Rierson, has been a lash artist for over 7 years. She has been an instructor for 3 years, and she continually refines and adds to her teaching methods. Kimberly’s proven philosophy is to teach lash artists to walk before they run. Meaning, she believes in a solid foundation in classic lashing before graduating to advanced styling and volume lash artistry. She has designed her courses around her success of teaching students in this manner. Currently, there are 3 levels of certifications she offers through Concepts.

Kimberly has had the pleasure of being an esthetician for over 8 years, and performing lash extensions for nearly 7. Having learned her lashing craft from a very talented artist in Seattle, she was able to hone her craft under her tutelage for a year before breaking out on her own. Hitting the market just as eyelash extension popularity was exploding, her small lash salon quickly was overwhelmed with a steady clientele. As the industry grew, Kimberly noticed more improper and poor application, styling, and overall damaging work. It became so commonplace that Kimberly wanted to take part in educating new lash artists on proper application. It has grown into a fun passion that she is constantly refining to allow her to impart the safest, healthiest, and newest techniques and products to up and coming lash artists. Currently, she keeps a part time private lashing practice, as well as practicing her other passion: holistic esthetics. She developed a passion for the traditional Indian medicine Ayurveda on her journey to combat her own skin. Having spent several years learning the basic tenets of Ayurveda, several trainings in India, and creating her own Ayurvedic facial oil line she is now beginning to share her unique esthetics perspective combining Ayurvedic principles to help treat skin more completely. Check out both her course offering in eyelash extension artistry!
